What we ask you for, and why

A Taste Of Sweden, LLC is a home bakery in Hendersonville, Tennessee. We bake Swedish cakes, buns, and cookies to order for pickup.

This policy covers this website and the orders you place on it. It explains what we ask you for, why we ask, and what happens to it afterward.

There are two places on this site where you can type something to us, and we collect only what each one asks for.

When you place an order:

• Your first and last name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• The pickup day and time you choose
• The items you order, and any choices you make with them, such as a jam flavor or a gluten friendly version
• Any writing you would like on a cake
• Any special request you type in

When you tell us what you would like to see in a shop:

• Your name
• Your email address, only if you choose to give one
• Where you would like to see the shop
• What you would like to see in it

That is the whole list. You do not create an account, there is nothing to log in to, and we do not ask you for anything beyond what it takes to bake your order or to hear what you think.

We never see or store your card number. Card details go straight to Stripe, which is covered below.

We use your information to bake your order and to talk to you about it. In practice, that is:

• Confirming your order by email once you place it
• Sending you a reminder before your pickup day
• Emailing you a payment link so you can pay before pickup
• Calling or texting you if we have a question about your order
• Sending you a thank-you note after you pick up

What you send us about the shop is used to hear from the community about where a shop should be and what should be in it, and to reply to you if you left an email address.

Telling us what you would like to see in a shop does not sign you up for anything. There is no mailing list, and nothing starts arriving because you answered.

We do not use any of it for anything else.

A few services help us run the bakery. Each one sees only what it needs:

• Stripe handles payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe. We never see them and we never store them.
• A customer relationship system holds your contact details and your order so we can confirm it, send your reminder and your payment link, and recognize you when you order again.
• Our hosting infrastructure holds your order and the contact details you gave us, so your payment page can show you what you ordered and so there is a record of it afterward.
• Vercel hosts the website itself.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising. We do not use it for anything other than filling your order and talking to you about it.

This site does not run advertising or analytics tracking. There is no advertising pixel, no analytics package, and no cookie that follows you from here to anywhere else.

We do not build a profile of you, and there is nothing here for us to hand to an advertiser.

We keep your order record and the contact details you gave us with it, so there is a history of what you ordered and we can look it up later if you ask. If you would rather we did not keep them, tell us and we will delete them.

Your contact details and order history stay in our customer system so we can serve you well when you come back.

• Ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you and we will send it to you.
• Ask us to delete it and we will, unless we still need it to finish an order you have already placed.
• If we ever send you a marketing email, every one of them carries an unsubscribe link.

Emails about an order you placed, meaning your confirmation, your reminder, and your payment link, are part of filling that order, so they keep coming until your order is done.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page changes with it.
